Letters of Introduction

Welcome to Mark Dion's Bartram's Travels - Reconsidered! Are you interested in reading the complete tale of Mark's journey south in its full form, from start to finish? Follow the blue button to Mark's Journal. It will start you with his most recent entries, but you can scroll right to explore as far back as you like. Find a spot to begin, a date, a place, a photo you like and carry on.

If you're especially interested in Mark's multimedia posts, we have those separated out in the same chronological format - just follow the green and grey buttons for Audio & Video and Photos.

Maybe you're interested in site specific work? In that case, following Mark from point to point is simple: check out the yellow button for The Mark Tracker, which plots out our hero's progress on an interactive Google Map.

Lastly, if you're looking for information on a topic of particular fondness, try looking in the Tag Cloud. There you'll find all of Mark's notes and ephemera catalogued and linked by subject.

While you're here, you might just want to leave Mark, his cohorts, and everyone else a piece of your mind. You're free to do that on each and every individual page. Just follow the links that say "Read More / Add Comments" - you'll also find a pile of social networking links that'll let you spread the word further.

If you're sick with anticipation but can't bear to check on Mark's progress every single day, you can sign up for the project mailing list and RSS feed at the top of this and every page. We'll send you the digest version of what's going on, as well as any breaking news or upcoming special events.

Still bamboozled, or just unflappably inquisitive? Try the About section for all things site- and project-related, the News section for breaking announcements, or simply get in touch: we're your loyal servants.
